Tatyoon Recreation Reserve Sports Oval will soon receive substantial upgrades, as highlighted in Ararat Rural City Council’s 2024/25 Budget.

The upcoming improvement works to Tatyoon Recreation Reserve Sports Oval will include surface upgrades to the existing AFL and cricket oval. A new irrigation and watering system and upgrades to drainage, along with surface upgrades including new line markings will enhance the quality of the playing surface and reduce maintenance requirements.

Upgrades to Tatyoon Receration Reserve Sports Oval are scheduled to be completed between October 2024 and January 2025. This project is supported by an $80,000 contribution from Ararat Rural City Council, together with $250,000 in grant funding allocated under the Victorian State Government’s Country Football and Netball Program. This program is part of a $2.5 million Victorian State Government initiative to assist regional football and netball clubs, associations, and umpiring organisations to develop their facilities.
